Lloyd Dallett: A Painted Haiku

Blending contemporary design elements with Asian accents, artist Lloyd Dallett's original art is currently featured at Kim Kieler Gallery.
Lloyd's works at Kim Kieler Gallery include several inspired by textures such as those found in kimono patterns, as well as her interpretations of shoots of bamboo, undersea life, the influence of international travel and more.
Ms. Kieler is attracted to Lloyd's work because it's "whimsical, unusual and often playful," says the Gallery owner.
A graduate of Thacher School in Ojai, Lloyd spent much of her time in that school's barn-turned-studio before continuing on to University of Colorado (Bolder), Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and Tufts University.
A Santa Barbara resident, Lloyd shares her life with her husband Richard and daughter Lucia.
