Kim3 International Furnishings began with a vision. Our founder, Kim Mascheroni-Kieler, wanted to start a small business to find and sell fine furniture, antiques and art. When traveling throughout Europe and Asia, her eye was drawn again and again to the finest antiquities.  Not knowing what would eventually evolve, Kim began studying and purchasing fine art and furnishings with the notion of both decorating her home with the unique and eye-catching treasures, and conducting temporary home-shows in Southern California communities.

With enough merchandise to fill one forty-foot container, Kim found a large, rustic location in downtown Santa Barbara and held her first show where she received immediate support from the homeowners and designers who were instantly appreciative of her international offerings.  On the heels this success, Kim began promoting additional locations for these temporary home-shows including Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, and Orange County.  Each show was more successful than the last.

The ongoing demand from customers who shopped her temporary Santa Barbara location became encouragement for Kim to open a permanent store.  That first permanent store opened in 1994 in downtown Santa Barbara: an 8,000 square-foot facility, World Wide Antiques, which Kim filled to the rafters with European and Asian goods.
