Wood is organic, and each species of wood has individual characteristics such as color, texture, and grain that make each one unique. Finishes are carefully selected to enhance the wood’s characteristics. Many antique pieces, especially those from China, are carefully and expertly restored to preserve the patina, as well as fabulous hand-painted artwork such as gilt calligraphy, portraiture, and landscapes; precious and invaluable expressions of the original artisans who crafted these wonderfully unique pieces.
Kim3 is known for the crystalline lacquer finishes which are durable and reflective when applied by master artists such as those who partner with us.
